The Detroit Lions will play the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game at Levi’s Stadium after an outstanding victory over the Los Angeles Rams in the first round of the NFL playoffs and an even more remarkable victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second round.

All-Pro center Frank Ragnow, who has been dealing with knee and ankle issues, is one experienced member of the Lions who deserves a lot of credit for the club’s performance against the Rams and Buccaneers. Ragnow persevered through his infirmities to help the team go forward and face the 49ers.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, head coach Dan Campbell made sure to give Ragnow some much-needed credit for giving up his body for the team after the Lions were able to defeat the Buccaneers and punch their ticket to the NFC Championship Game.

Despite his injury concerns, Ragnow is anticipated to participate in the NFC Championship Game against the 49ers at Levi’s Stadium on the road, as Rapoport notes.

This Sunday, when the Lions go to the Bay Area to play Brock Purdy and company, they will be huge underdogs, in contrast to their previous two playoff games played at Ford Field in Detroit.

The postseason will test Jared Goff and his team once again as they attempt to defeat the 49ers, who were dealt a severe blow last weekend by the unexpectedly strong Green Bay Packers.
