In the NFC divisional playoff round on Saturday night, George Kittle and the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Green Bay Packers at home by a slim margin. With his constant ability to find holes in the Packers’ defense and his score to assist the 49ers advance to the Super Bowl, Kittle was a major factor in San Francisco’s victory.

The 49ers will then need to overcome the young Detroit Lions, who punched their ticket to the NFC Championship Game with a victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home, in order to make that happen. Kittle, for his part, appears to be in complete admiration of what Detroit has managed to pull off this season.

On ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show, Kittle recently talked about his thoughts on the game and whether or not he is surprised that the Lions are this far along.

Pat McAfee on X, the social media platform that was once known as Twitter, reported that Kittle said, “I’m not surprised at all.”The team clearly incorporates all of Dan Campbell’s principles based on the way they play. It’s real. They’ll do everything on camera to outwork and outshine you because they’re tenacious and determined.

To be sure, by reaching this far in the season, head coach Dan Campbell and the Lions have exceeded most, if not all, expectations. But with a Super Bowl berth on the line on Sunday, don’t expect them to be content to simply be “there.”
