We replicated the NFL Conference Championship games for both leagues using Madden 24.

This week features some intriguing matchups, including the first-ever postseason showdown between Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson, as well as Dan Campbell and Kyle Shanahan. Madden 24 only picked one wrong prediction from last week’s games, the Chiefs vs. Bills matchup. But will Madden pick the two matchups this weekend correctly? With these Madden Predictions, let’s find out.

Madden 24 Simulates NFL Conference Championship Games – Predictions For All Games

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4FINAL Chiefs vs Raven

Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson faced each other in the playoffs for the first time ever. Both offenses erupted in the contest, as one might expect. Even though Kansas City prevailed in the game, they gave Baltimore numerous chances to win the AFC Championship.

First, Isaiah Pacheco’s contentious touchdown reception (*7:11) gave Kansas City a great start to the game. Also, following a missed field goal Harrison Butker replied with a field goal of his own after weather caused Baltimore to miss a 57-yard attempt.

Nevertheless, the Ravens rapidly recovered, helped by a 13-yard touchdown run by Gus Edwards (24:50). However, the Chiefs were there to warn them otherwise when things appeared to be improving. At 31:45, Pacheco scored another touchdown, giving the Chiefs a 17–7 lead.

After Lamar Jackson suffered an unexpected injury, Tyler Huntley entered the game as Baltimore drove down the field. In general, Baltimore failed to convert on their fourth down at the goal line (39:14), which gave the Chiefs an additional chance to score. This time, at 40:43, Marques-Valdez Scantling scored a touchdown with an incredible 82-yard reception. 24-7 was the score following the Extra Point.

But Tyler Huntley let loose his inner cannon, as the Ravens scored ten straight points without replying. With 38 seconds left in the half, he scored a touchdown (45:55). Even though Lamar came back later, Huntley went 6-for-9 for 87 yards and one touchdown on the day. Two of his passes also resulted from drops that were simple catches.

The Chiefs had the option to run the clock out, but they chose to throw twice first. The Ravens scored another touchdown (49:16 for drive) in just 20 seconds after using one of their two remaining timeouts. At the half, Baltimore was up 24–17 thanks to a facemask call.

But the Chiefs rallied in the second half, easily scoring 24 more points. Baltimore managed to force two consecutive punts but could only produce a field goal, leaving the score at 24–20 (1:05:-07). Nevertheless, the Chiefs seized a 31-20 lead following a lengthy drive.

The action in the game kept switching sides, with Baltimore coming close to catching up (1:16:17). However, KC never stopped answering, regardless of how much they scored. All things considered, Kansas City prevailed 48–40. Overall, Patrick Mahomes had an incredible stat line (31/44, 459 yards, 4 touchdowns) at the end of the day. While playing well (23/33, 349 yards, 2 touchdowns), Lamar Jackson threw an interception that put the Ravens in a difficult situation.

Finally, we are curious about the outcome if Tyler Huntley had participated in the entire game. In the two drives he participated in, he performed fairly well. Overall, it appeared that the Ravens’ offense got more predictable with more read option and RPO plays when Lamar was on the field. However, the MVP front-runner is not just benched like that.

Madden 24 Simulates – NFC Championship Game – Lions 31 – 49ers 38

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4FINAL Lions vs 49ers

It appeared as though the Lions-49ers Championship game was much closer than it was. But Detroit came dangerously close to defeating the squad with the top seed. Nevertheless, San Fran led 14-0 at the end of the first quarter thanks to two touchdowns (9:09 & 17:21).

Finally establishing some rhythm, Jared Goff (who threw two costly interceptions) could only muster a field goal drive (22:18). Amon-Ra St. Brown, who made several short catches during the game, helped the Lions offense travel down the field very effectively. David Montgomery should also be acknowledged because he made things move more smoothly.

At last, the 49ers were forced to punt as the Lions executed a stop. At last, Detroit scored their first touchdown of the contest when they got the ball (32:17). The Lions barely lost 10–14 thanks to a short 2-yard touchdown pass to St. Brown. Deebo Samuel, however, swiftly put an end to any optimism with a 100-yard kickoff return touchdown (33:33). To be honest, we believed that Detroit was done for.

But the Lions persisted, and they even stopped a potential touchdown by stopping Christian McCaffrey from converting a fourth down. The half ended with the Lions and Goff failing to score, 21-10. Nevertheless, Goff hit Sam LaPorta with a bomb to reach the end zone early in the second half (51:21). They were unable to make the 2-point conversion, though.

Once again, the 49ers were unable to generate any offense, and David Montgomery helped the Lions capitalize with another touchdown at 1:01:16. The 2-point conversion was made by recently acquired tight end Zach Ertz, giving the Lions a 24-21 lead.

However, San Francisco went on a scoring binge beginning at 1:15:15 and going on. With 17 consecutive scores, the 49ers took a 38-24 advantage. The 49ers added another touchdown at 1:22:19; interestingly, Deebo Samuel scored both of them. In garbage time, the Lions added another touchdown. It was, though, too little, too late.

Goff completed the day with a 35/45 completion rate, 403 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. In the end, Purdy finished 26/35 with 307 yards and three touchdowns. All in all, Mr. Irrelevant had a flawless football game. Furthermore, Christian McCaffrey and David Montgomery combined for 51 rushes for 131 yards and two touchdowns. Sadly, Madden is unaware that the Lions use Jahmyr Gibbs and Monty in the backfield.

With the victory, the Chiefs and 49ers—who last faced off in the 2019–2020 season—will play again in the Super Bowl. Although Kansas City prevailed 31–20 in that match, both clubs now appear very different. With this season, Brock Purdy wants to lead his squad to its first Super Bowl since 1994. In the meantime, the Chiefs, led by Patrick Mahomes, are playing in their third Super Bowl in six years. All things considered, this should be an interesting matchup.

But we should be aware that if Deebo Samuel is not available this weekend, the result can vary. He finished the day with three touchdowns overall in the simulation. We’re curious how much the potent 49ers offense might be affected by his absence.

Finally, we can’t help but be disappointed that the Lions and Ravens were unable to advance. Although we commend the 49ers and Chiefs, we were thrilled to witness Jackson perform at an MVP caliber. Furthermore, head coach Dan Campbell gives every player on the Lions a sense of purpose and vitality. In general, we anticipate these teams will continue to have success in the future.

Who knows, though? Since these are only simulations, anybody can win.

That concludes this Madden 24 Simulates penultimate episode. We’re excited for another thrilling week of NFL games. But we hope that if a Chiefs player scores a huge play, Taylor Swift will be less visible. Lamar Jackson might be all we need to keep us from suffering such a fate.

Joking aside, we’re curious to see what transpires. Will Sam LaPortal and Deebo be well? Will Marlon Humphrey and Mark Andrews make a comeback this postseason? Time will tell. !
