The Detroit Lions have signed 11 players to reserve/futures contracts, the team announced Tuesday. Among the players signed were receivers Tom Kennedy and Maurice Alexander and quarterback Jermare Jefferson.

All of the players who signed contracts Tuesday were on the team’s practice squad this season.Reserve/future contracts go into effect on the first day of the new league year, at which point teams can expand their rosters to 90 players before training camp. “I think this is it. I think it’s the players and the coaches. That’s what I think: You’ve got to keep getting better and have more competition between the roster and the coaches,” Campbell said.

“You’ve got to do that. You need to make sure you have the right skills. You all work well with the staff. “And it’s a top-level staff with top-level players. This is important. You learn a lot about the 0 to 10 players that I talked to, you learn a lot when you’re in an NFC championship game. And all of that – the risk is that it’s much higher, and when we play games like that, we all learn from it.”

Below is a full list of the 11 players signed to reserve/future contracts.
