“I can’t tell you what the future holds, but I’m still being me.”

A year after a drama-filled season, Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs has once again created uncertainty about his future with the team.

Diggs opened up for NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe at this week’s Pro Bowl, speaking for the first time since the playoff loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Diggs remains under contract through the 2027 season, but has not revealed exactly what his future holds.

“I feel like I’m taking it every day,” she says. “Of course, there are many changes and many things are happening. You can’t put the cart before the horse, can you? But I have a good season where we can put in a lot of work and build on what we have and what we are doing.

“I don’t know what the future holds, but I’m still me.”

When asked if he has any plans to push the Bills, Diggs gave another cryptic answer. “I’m ready to go either way,” Diggs said.

Bills moving forward with top receiver

Diggs isn’t committed to his future in Buffalo, but insiders believe the team has no choice. As CBS Sports’ Tyler Sullivan points out , Diggs is slated to make $27.8 million next season, and the capital-starved Bills can’t make a move even if they wanted to.

“If so, his contract will be flexible after next season and the dead cap will be reduced over the next three seasons,” Sullivan wrote. The Bills publicly honored Diggs. In his season-ending press conference, general manager Brandon Beane said Diggs will be the team’s top receiver next season despite the season-ending, divisional-round loss to the Chiefs.

“Steph, he’s the No. 1 receiver. I’m sure I’m not going to deviate from that,” Beane said, via ESPN . “…Listen. You’ll still need to position your weapons so your team can’t track him down or otherwise take him out. They know you want it. Steph can still play and I’m sure he would love to play the deep ball again. He will be the first to tell you. He is very competitive and has worked hard this season. I know there are some reasons or questions about this or his work, but I still see Steph as the #1 receiver.

Stefon Diggs was disappointed with the way the season ended.

Diggs also scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter against the Chiefs, allowing the Bills to drive deep into Kansas City territory. In the end, the Bills missed a field goal on the road and saw the lead dwindle on the clock and into the AFC Championship Game.

“Like I said, this is one of the pieces I want back. I think if you hold on to it, it will be thrown away. If it hits a hand or a finger, I’ll count it. “Whether you look at it this season, whether you look at the total hits, the first eight games, the last eight games, the ninth game, the 10th game, it was a completely different situation,” Diggs told Wolff. That’s what I had to learn as a teammate. I had to take hits, be the best teammate, be the best player and keep growing.
