When it comes to quarterback upgrades, the pittsburgh steelers are exploring all of their options, even in the trade market. Indianapolis (approximate) – the pittsburgh steelers were desperate to find a solution to their quarterback woes this season.

With just one quarterback on the roster for the 2024 season, steeler general manager omar kahn knows they have a lot to do, and kahn knows that fans and media have referred to a number of names that the steelers may consider, including justin fields, who may be a trade candidate for the chicago bears, the team’s owner.

In a draft that is dominated by quarterback prospects, there is only one overall pick. Kahn said, “i’m not going to go into details about the conversations we’ve had.

” kahn also mentioned that the steelers would pursue a fields trade. “but, as i said earlier, i can tell you that i have an obligation to look at every opportunity to make us a better football team.”

The steelers have every option for extending to the quarterback room, whether it be through the draft, free agency, or the trade market, according to kahn.

It’s unclear if the bears will trade fields and pick caleb williams (or one of the other top passers in the draft) or trade the no. 1).

Fields was traded up to take the 2021 draft for 1 overall pick for a larger package. However, the rest of the league is preparing for chicago to make the most important move of the offseason.

Khan said he is eager to see what kenny pickett, the steelers’ 2022 first-round pick who was benched late last season after an ankle injury to mason rudolph, can do with some new pieces on the offensive coaching staff.

Pickett’s growth is expected to be aided by the addition of arthur smith as offensive coordinator and tom arth as quarterbacks coach, according to him.

“we’re excited about kenny and excited about the effect arthur smith will have on the offense, on kenny and tom arth as well,” kahn said. “we’re excited about the whole process,” he says.
