Your los angeles lakers will make a strange move to sign two-way center/power forward harry giles, who had previously played for the brooklyn nets earlier this season, onto one of their two-way spots.

According to espn’s dave mcmenamin, los angeles instead chose to transfer from a different two-way deal rather than offloading rookie two-way center colin castleton, who fractured his right wrist last week.

Dylan windler, a more senior two-way signing who has been on the roster for four seasons and has suffered with injury issues, will be dropped by the lakers.

Windler played in just eight games for los angeles as part of a two-way deal, averaging 1.5 points on 44. percent shooting from the floor and 50% shooting from the three-point line, plus 0.8 assists.

McMenamin adds that Giles will officially join the Lakers on Monday.

Due to injuries to Christian Wood, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Castleton in the near future, Giles has a good chance of seeing some legitimate playing time for the Lakers as they continue to push for the playoffs, even if it won’t be much. After winning seven of their last 10 games and two in a row, LA has been playing a little better lately.

Despite this, they are just the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 33-28 record, and their defense has suffered greatly as a result of long-term injuries to Gabe Vincent and Cam Reddish (the latter of whom recently returned after a month-long absence).
