The 49ers are interested in bringing back edge rusher Chase Young on a ‘prove it deal,’ as per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano.
There is still a possibility that the former No. 2 overall pick could return to San Francisco, especially given his age and relationship with star player Nick Bosa.
While Young may have to consider a one-year prove-it deal, the 49ers are hoping he will sign a contract that benefits them with a high compensatory draft pick.
If Young doesn’t receive the offers he desires, reuniting with Bosa on a strong defense could be a favorable option.
