Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mitch Trubisky is headed back to the Buffalo Bills, signing with the team ahead of free agency following his release from Pittsburgh.

And according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the deal is for two years as he rejoins his former team.

Pelissero says Trubisky’s contract is two years, worth $5.25 million, including $2.7 million guaranteed this season. The Steelers allowed the former starter to hit the open market early, hoping he could land with a team before the market opened.

That has now happened, as Trubisky becomes the backup to Josh Allen once again.
