An agreement was reached for the San Francisco 49ers to retain one of their wide receivers from the 2023 campaign.

Ahead of the 2017 season, the 49ers must make a few decisions regarding the wide receiver corps.

San Francisco might lose Brandon Aiyuk.

One of the biggest contributions to quarterback Brock Purdy’s improvement has been the 49ers pass catchers. But after the 49ers’ Super Bowl defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs, there were doubts over whether Brandon Aiyuk would be back with the team in 2024. Indeed, trade speculations are circulating stating that Aiyuk and the Jacksonville Jaguars are interested in trading with one other.

Deebo Samuel could be traded for cap-saving purposes

Due to cap space concerns, Deebo Samuel has also been mentioned as a wide receiver the 49ers may move.

The 49ers have little over $6 million in cap space for the 2017 campaign, according to Over The Cap. Thankfully, this weekend saw the 49ers reach an agreement with one wide receiver.

The 49ers re-signed Chris Conley

Chris Conley was re-signed by the 49ers, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC.

Conley caught one ball for 18 yards in February’s Super Bowl and three passes for 69 yards in the regular season. For the 2024 season, he might be asked to play a bigger part for the 49ers.
