BREAKING: Dallas Cowboys Re-Sign $60 Million Superstar With 29,459 Passing yards, 99.0 Passing Rate….

Dallas Cowboys reworked the $60 million deal for 2024 with Dak Prescott.

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the team has converted Prescott’s $5 million roster bonus to a signing bonus to create cap space. The move also involved adding void years to Prescott’s contract, resulting in $4 million in cap space for the current season.

Prescott’s cap number for the 2024 season is now $55.455 million, and the void years mean the Cowboys will continue to carry him on their cap even if he moves on after the 2024 season.

Dallas Cowboys’ Cap Room

For 2024, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is in cap uncertainty. It isn’t enough for him to make any big moves in free agency, despite his cautious attempts to move to open up more room. What what has to happen is far more than even this action about Dak’s contract.

The terrible cap scenario facing the Dallas Cowboys was covered by Gridiron Heroics. They have added just two significant players to their roster thus far in free agency, and they have the least amount of cap room going into 2024.

Dak’s Future

There could still be talks about a long-term agreement. Dak’s extension and restructuring would be two of the few actions that actually generate financial room in Dallas.

Prescott would remain on the roster while counting against the cap if he signed an extension, per NBC Sports. Although the contract restructuring doesn’t rule out a deal of this kind happening during the offseason, it’s unclear whether the notion of a new deal in Dallas will translate into actual action.

Dak’s ability as a quarterback to guide the Cowboys to a Super Bowl has been questioned. The topic is made much more common by the contract scenario.
