As the NFL free agency frenzy unfolds, the Buffalo Bills are not letting their focus drift from the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft. With an impressive arsenal of 11 picks, the Bills are poised to address various needs on both offense and defense. One particular area of interest for the Bills is bolstering their wide receiver corps. Despite recent signings, including Curtis Samuel and Mack Hollins, the Bills are on the hunt for a dynamic No. 2 receiver who could potentially ascend to the top spot currently held by Stefon Diggs.

Among the myriad of talented receivers expected to be drafted, Oregon Ducks standout Troy Franklin stands out as a potential target for the Bills. Known for his electrifying speed and penchant for making big plays, Franklin had a stellar season, amassing 81 receptions for 1,383 yards and 14 touchdowns. Eager to assess Franklin’s capabilities firsthand, the Bills have arranged a private workout with the promising prospect.

Reports from Oregon’s pro day shed further light on Franklin’s impressive skills. Despite battling illness during the Combine, Franklin showcased his talent with an outstanding performance, even weighing in heavier than before. Scouts were particularly impressed by his sure-handedness during position drills, underscoring his potential to thrive at the professional level.

Franklin’s rising stock has attracted interest from several NFL teams, with the Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, and New England Patriots among those who have met with him recently. Additionally, Franklin has garnered official visits from four teams and has a private workout scheduled with the Bills, highlighting Buffalo’s keen interest in the young receiver.

Notably, Buffalo’s pursuit of Franklin extends back to the Combine, where they conducted a formal interview with him. Furthermore, the connection runs deeper, as Bills’ offensive coordinator Joe Brady had previously sought to recruit Franklin during his tenure at LSU. Should Franklin join the Bills, he would not be thrust into the spotlight immediately, but his ability to rack up yards after the catch and stretch the field could prove invaluable from day one. With anticipation building, all eyes are on Buffalo as they continue their quest to secure their next offensive weapon in the dynamic Troy Franklin.
