Haley Cavinder and Jake Ferguson enjoy romantic holiday in Saint Lucia
Haley Cavinder and Jake Ferguson took a romantic journey to Saint Lucia to make the most of the Dallas Cowboys star’s leisure time during the NFL offseason.
The devoted pair, who announced their relationship to the world in October, relished some time together on the Caribbean island as they unwinded in the sun.
College basketball player and TikTok phenomenon Cavinder posted a number of pictures from their vacation, showing them lounging on the beach, unwinding in an infinity pool with a breathtaking view of the mountains, and taking a boat ride across the ocean.
After relaxing during the day, they also got dressed up and put on their finest clothes for evenings spent on the island.
Cavinder jetted off for a holiday with Ferguson on the eve of March Madness, which got underway on Tuesday night. This time last year the 23-year-old was competing in the tournament with the Miami Hurricanes, who were eventually beaten in the Elite Eight stage by the LSU Tigers. Cavinder played for Miami with her twin sister Hanna, but following their exit against LSU the pair announced they would be leaving despite having an option for another season because they went through a pandemic-affected year.
Hanna is not anticipated to play collegiate basketball again, but Haley stated in October of last year that she intends to return in 2024–2025—reversing her earlier decision to leave and agreeing to play her final year at TCU.
The point guard has been even more in the public eye over the last five months due to her developing relationship with Ferguson, who was taken in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft and played two seasons for the Cowboys.
Ferguson and Dallas’ terrible season ended last year when they were defeated by the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.
Just three months into her relationship with a football player, Cavinder admitted to having a ‘mental breakdown’ when social media bullies left cruel comments about her appearance.  ‘I’m a confident girl, but when people are saying stuff about you — if you have a boyfriend and someone is talking about you online with your boyfriend… like coming at your features — I’m like, this is new and obviously Jake is a great guy, but you don’t want to be called ugly on the internet 24/7, and your boyfriend sees it. That’s not going to make anyone feel cool. ‘So I had a mental breakdown, but that was a while ago. Honestly, I’m very confident and comfortable sharing my relationship because Jake was very loud about it.
“I felt very confident and at ease sharing him because he was always like that.”
