On Wednesday’s “First Call,” quarterback Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys is mentioned as a possible 2025 destination for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In the interim, the team is researching Pitt defensive backs after missing out on a potential free agent deal.

In the WNIT, the Duquesne women’s team will travel to play Purdue, and the Penguins have a very good chance of winning back-to-back games.

If you are apprehensive about the quarterback situation for the Steelers in 2024, just think about how uncertain things will be in 2025.

Justin Fields and Russell Wilson are not currently committed to Pittsburgh after this season. Rich Eisen, an NFL Network personality and national radio broadcaster, is teasing the Steelers as a possible destination for Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott in 2025 because of this.

"First Call," Cowboys' quarterback Dak Prescott is predicted to sign with Pittsburgh Steelers in 2025, UFA WR target off the board

What happens if Wilson, the person they put in first place, doesn’t work out? What if they see Justin Fields and decide he’s not the right guy? Eisen stated on his radio program on Wednesday. The Steelers might be all in. Their offense costs nothing at this moment. It’s not even $15 million, in my opinion. They’ll have enough cash to give Dak many times that. I believe Dak would be willing to play out his career in Pittsburgh if the Steelers are in on him.

Prescott inked a four-year, $160 million agreement in 2021, and as per CBSSports.com, he is guaranteed more than $55 million in 2024. No-trade and no-franchise-tag clauses are also included in his agreement.

This implies that the ninth-year veteran will become a free agent following the 2024 season if another team doesn’t have enough assets — and probably enough cash for a contract — by the trade deadline this autumn.

With 36 touchdowns against only nine interceptions, Prescott lead the NFL. With 4,516 yards under his belt, 69.5% of his passes were completed.

According to Josina Anderson of CBS Sports HQ Senior NFL Insider, Dallas is hoping to sign Prescott to a new contract, but no negotiations are “imminent.”

It appears that the Steelers are considering Pitt cornerback M.J. Devonshire. The Steelers will invite the Aliquippa graduate for a pre-draft visit, via SteelersNow.com.

Devonshire might also be useful in special teams. During his collegiate career, he averaged 7.4 yards per punt return and scored one touchdown.

Josh Reynolds, a wide receiver with the Detroit Lions, and the Steelers had many matchmakers. The Steelers need at least one or two additional receivers, and he was a free agency.

However, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Reynolds inked a contract with the Denver Broncos on Wednesday. It’s a two-year contract, he says, for up to $14 million.

Reynolds has played for the Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Rams before to a three-year stint with the Lions. In 2020, he had his greatest season with Los Angeles, catching 52 catches for 618 yards and two touchdowns. Reynolds amassed 608 yards and five touchdowns on 40 receptions during the previous campaign.
