Roy Keane, a pundit for Sky Sports, claims that Liverpool is now the favorite to win the Premier League after Jurgen Klopp’s team pulled two points ahead of the competition.

Due to those outcomes, Liverpool now leads second-place Arsenal by three points, while City is presently in third place.

With nine games remaining, Keane evaluated the championship race and stated, “I would pick Liverpool as my favorite. Arsenal’s goal differential makes them the second-choice team. City, who are third favorites, are dealing with injuries and the pressure of preparing for the Champions League, just like Arsenal.

“Every time I watch Liverpool, we may point out one or two shortcomings, but they have so many opportunities to score goals in every game.

“I’ve said Man City [previously] but what I’ve seen recently, I’m going to go with Liverpool.”

While Keane’s fellow Sky Sports analyst and former Manchester United teammate Gary Neville is sticking with his forecast that Arsenal will win the championship, he thinks Liverpool has a real potential to gain momentum if they can defeat United at Old Trafford this coming week and then Sheffield United.

“We knew before the international break who was in form,” he stated. Arsenal was playing at their peak. Liverpool was holding on a little bit in the closing stages. Arsenal was playing at a very high level. The events of the upcoming week will be crucial since you’ll need to be in fine form for that run-in.

“I said Arsenal at the beginning of the season, and I won’t change my mind now because I believe every team is still in it.

“However, Liverpool will be in excellent mental form if they triumph at Old Trafford since such a significant victory has a profound effect on one. But beyond that, there’s still a long way to go.”

In addition, he stated that even though Man City, the reigning champions, have the most ground to make up, it would be folly to write them out.

“I genuinely think Man City could win all nine games,” he stated. “That would be enough I think.”

Theo Walcott, an ex-winger for Arsenal, thinks his old team might have provided a model for how to annoy Pep Guardiola’s team.

“Arsenal showed today they can really grind results out, but I think a lot of teams will take a lot from Arsenal’s performance and it might affect how Man City play and get results now,” he stated. “I can’t see City winning all the games.”
