The current front-runner for the Liverpool position appears to be Ruben Amorim.

After Xabi Alonso ruled himself out of the competition, the Sporting manager has been listed by Fabrizio Romano as the favourite to take over from Jurgen Klopp at the end of the season.

What’s being said about Ruben Amorim and Liverpool

An update on Amorim and Liverpool was provided by Jason Burt during his appearance on the Sky Sports Back Pages Podcast.

The journalist claims that he has recently spoken with individuals who have sent contradictory signals.

He claims that while Amorim meets all of the requirements Liverpool is looking for in a new manager, he has also been informed that there isn’t a front-runner at this time and that Amorim is merely a name on the list rather than a clear favorite.

“The report regarding De Zerbi is true; he has undoubtedly dropped in the hierarchy of the managers they are now considering. Amorim, I don’t believe, has. Burt remarked, “I believe he remains close to the top of their list.”

“I spoke with someone today, and he meets every need they have for a manager. Not just in terms of football style, but also in terms of the value he instills in the players under his tutelage. He’s been incredibly successful in bringing players aboard.
