Prominent pass rusher Josh Allen liked a comment that poked fun at the Jacksonville Jaguars front office on his X account. The message discussed Stefon Diggs’ trade from the Buffalo Bills to the Houston Texans.

The Jacksonville Jaguars’ offseason has been uneventful.

On paper, the Texans and Jaguars appear to be the top contenders for the AFC South title in the upcoming years. The Texans, though, have enjoyed a far better offseason. Diggs, Joe Mixon, and Danielle Hunter were added by the Texans.

Undoubtedly, the Jaguars have gotten worse. Calvin Ridley went to join the Tennessee Titans, an AFC South rival, therefore they were unable to re-sign him. Arik Armstead was the best free agent acquisition made by the Jaguars; he will support Allen on defense.

When Houston and the Buffalo Bills traded, Josh Allen wasn’t impressed.

Allen doesn’t appear to think those actions are sufficient. Allen reacted favorably to a tweet from Mr. Y_U_Mad criticizing the Jaguars for not going “for the kill” in the same way the Texans did after acquiring Diggs:

Allen has a 2024 franchise tag.

Allen’s dissatisfaction with the Jaguars extends beyond the Diggs trade. After an amazing 17.5 sack season, the team placed him under the franchise tag this summer. They don’t seem willing to give Allen the large sum of money needed to stay in Jacksonville. They let Ridley go following a fantastic 2023 season, as was previously mentioned.

In free agency, the Jaguars did add Gabe Davis, a former wide receiver for the Bills, to their roster. Even though the Bills offense always seemed to require more depth at wide receiver to divert an opponent’s attention from Diggs, Davis wasn’t even the team’s No. 2 wide receiver. Allen was probably not overly excited about that move.
