One of the biggest games in the English calendar takes place on Sunday at Old Trafford between Manchester United and Liverpool.

There will probably be fireworks when both teams take the field because of the intense rivalry between the Red Devils and the Reds (as well as their supporters).

Manchester United would welcome a victory over Liverpool as a boost to their already very poor season.

With 12 losses in the top tier thus far this season, Erik ten Hag’s team is presently ninth in the Premier League standings, nine points behind Tottenham Hotspur.

Along with Manchester City and Arsenal, Jurgen Klopp’s Reds are now competing in one of the most thrilling Premier League title chases in recent memory.

Liverpool has to be playing at their very best because any mistakes made by any of the three rivals at this point in the season might have disastrous consequences.

Chris Sutton, who analyses and forecasts each Premier League game of the year, has finally shared his Man United vs. Liverpool prediction.

Chris Sutton predicts that of Manchester United vs Liverpool, who will prevail?

The Red Devils appear to step up their game against the Reds, the BBC Sport analyst has said, but he doesn’t think it will be enough this time. He’s aiming for a 3–1 victory away.

Sutton stated on BBC Sport, “You really cannot deny that Manchester United seem to up their game when they face Liverpool.”

Which, if I were a United fan, would truly enrage me. Consider using that same style of play in a couple more games.

“I heard Manchester United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, discuss his team’s improvement after the team’s dramatic loss to Chelsea on Thursday night at Stamford Bridge.

Sky Sports pundit Chris Sutton predicts Manchester United vs Liverpool

“It’s just not how I view it. At Stamford Bridge, Alejandro Garnacho truly won my over, but I have concerns about United’s defense. I don’t see United keeping Liverpool out given what is currently at stake for them.

“It won’t be an easy win, but I think Jurgen Klopp’s team will beat United for the third time this season after they lost and drew their first two meetings.”

Liverpool, who are keen to win in order to win their 20th English championship, will put themselves to the test in this match.

But the Anfield team will match the hosts’ record of 20 titles if they win, so the Red Devils and their supporters won’t make it easy for them.

Nevertheless, I think Liverpool will have enough to overcome a Man United team that is currently without confidence and inspiration. Man United 1-2 Liverpool, in my opinion.
