Both teams issued warnings prior to Sunday’s game at Old Trafford, yet a significant number of Man United supporters persisted in yelling tragedies at Liverpool supporters.

Liverpool made their second trip to Old Trafford in three weeks on Sunday, following their 4-3 FA Cup loss and 2-2 Premier League tie.

Chants from Man United fans during the Sky Sports broadcast indicated that several of them were arrested for their involvement in the tragedy after the team’s quarterfinal loss.

As a matter of fact, thousands or perhaps more were presumably joining in the vile yells of “murderers” and “always the victims.”

This prompted the two clubs to start a foundation-based project, albeit the primary goal of it was to educate the youth, even though the issue usually affects the elder generations.

Regretfully, the alerts went unanswered, and Greater Manchester Police will surely be forced to begin a new investigation with scant evidence of arrests or prohibitions.
