In a fantastic competition for the Premier League title amongst Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City, Paul Merson has said who he thinks will win.
After Arsenal defeated Brighton and Man City defeated Crystal Palace on Saturday, Liverpool must bounce back when they play their bitter rivals, Manchester United, on Sunday.
Although Liverpool technically holds the title as they look to win the Premier League in manager Jurgen Klopp’s final season at Anfield, this might be one of the greatest title battles in history with many surprises in store.
After defeating Brighton 3-0 on Saturday night, Arsenal took the lead in the standings—at least for the time being. After finishing second in the previous season, the Gunners are going for their first league championship in twenty years.
After also winning the FA Cup and Champions League the previous season, Manchester City is aiming for a record-tying fourth Premier League title and back-to-back trebles. At Palace, Pep Guardiola’s team prevailed 4-2.
“I would say it’s the best title race we’ve seen,” Merson said to Sky Sports, revealing his prediction for the race. One month remaining and three teams in it.
