Mike Tomlin and Omar Khan are still trying to add something.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a huge hole at receiver, in case you haven’t heard.

To refresh your memory, the Carolina Panthers acquired Diontae Johnson from Pittsburgh. Van Jefferson and Quez Watkins, who were signed as free agents, are merely rotational and depth players and aren’t really contenders to be the offense’s number-two receiver.

The Steelers are apparently still in talks regarding a possible trade for a top receiver, despite earlier rumors to the contrary.

The Steelers are still looking to make a significant trade for a proven receiver, according to CBS Sports NFL insider Jason La Canfora, who was speaking on the In The Huddle podcast.

According to La Canfora, “there’s a piece of information we don’t have yet.” Which is to say, do they make a wide receiver trade prior to the draft?

I wouldn’t be shocked if they carried out that action tomorrow, the Wednesday before to the draft, when they were working, or in the days leading up to the draft on Thursday. I am aware of their sincere attempts to influence events there.

We should take a close look at the 49ers’ desperate need for another game-winning play.

The Steelers must act quickly if they hope to add a talented receiver to their roster because the draft is in two weeks.

Omar Khan will need to step up his game, whether it’s against Terry McLaurin of the Washington Commanders or Brandon Aiyuk, about whom many have conjectured.
