Rising sensation Shea Lacey of Manchester United has expressed his happiness at signing his first professional contract with the Premier League’s biggest clubs.

The right winger, who turned 17 on Sunday, April 14, was born in Liverpool and, if not for family intervention, may have been able to sign with the Reds.

The younger brother of fellow football players Paddy and Luis, Lacey grew up cheering for United while his siblings supported Liverpool.

Paddy, who is currently 31 years old, attended the Red Devils’ academy in the 2000s. Despite his father’s advice to stay at United, he turned down United in favor of the Merseyside team because of his loyalty to Liverpool.

Shea, who began playing football at the age of three, followed his father’s advice and attended United, even though the former Bradford City player played much of his career in non-league football.

His aspirations to play at Old Trafford were greatly enhanced last week when he signed a professional contract with United, joining the ranks of recent academy graduates Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo.

Shea, who supposedly inked a five-year contract extension with United until 2029, celebrated the news on social media following its release.

“Proud moment for me and my family signing my first professional contract at this club,” he posted on Instagram.

After making an impression for United at the Under-18 level, Lacey was asked to practice with the first team under manager Erik ten Hag, in addition to earning more caps for the England Under-17 team.

The left-footed free-kick specialist, who can also play as an attacking midfielder and on the left wing, has been compared to Phil Foden of Manchester City.Paddy, his brother, thinks he has all the necessary resources to succeed in the game.

In February, he stated to the Manchester Evening News, “Shea is very reserved, quietly confident, and I told him he’d have to play quicker when he first played for the Under-18s and got a little half-hour with the Under-21s.”

“He would then return and ask, ‘Why do you not think highly of me? I’m capable of doing it to anyone. With his mentality and skill, I believe that Shea’s career could only be ended by injury.

Paddy continued, “When he was dribbling through the team, you would kind of feel bad for the other parents and think, ‘Oh my god, Shea, please touch someone else,’ but Man United was really good at giving him the freedom he needed.”

They want that he become an expert with the ball and be able to navigate difficult situations. They provide you the opportunity to discover for yourself how long to wait before losing the ball. It hasn’t done Shea any good to be left behind by the players who don’t pick up lessons.

“My father was always aware of his slight differences. Year after year, he simply appears to be making such amazing growth with United and their trainers. We have annual meetings here, and not since he was five years old have we had a poor meeting.
