Following a dramatic weekend, the Premier League supercomputer has released its most recent title prediction.

At the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, Manchester City, the defending champions, defeated Luton Town 5-1 to take the lead in the standings.

On Sunday afternoon, Liverpool and Arsenal competed in an attempt to surpass City.

However, Eberechi Eze’s goal in Crystal Palace’s 1-0 victory at Anfield startled Jurgen Klopp’s team.

Later in the afternoon, Arsenal lost against Unai Emery’s Aston Villa 2-0, meaning they were unable to take back the top spot.

City maintains their lead, two points ahead of their title rivals, as a consequence.

Opta’s supercomputer has updated its Premier League prediction following yet another exciting weekend.

“What does it mean for the Opta supercomputer’s predictions after a fantastic weekend for Man City?” posted an Opta Analyst on social media.

“As you can see, home losses for Liverpool and Arsenal have given Pep Guardiola’s team a significant boost in the Premier League title hunt.”

The odds on Pep Guardiola’s team to win the Premier League are currently 70.1%, up +29.5% from the previous weekend.

Liverpool’s probability fell from 29.1% to just 11.7%, while Arsenal’s dipped from 30.3% to 18.3%.

Mikel Arteta, the manager of the Gunners, was asked if he thought there would be more drama in the title battle following the encounter against Villa.

“That’s a possibility, that’s the current reality,” he stated. A few months ago, it was the same; we knew that this time would arrive. It’s time to respond, maintain our faith, and take action as best we can.

“I’m not sure, but the games we have to play every three days seem like a ridiculous schedule. Thus, any team could experience this; it has happened before, and we have no control over it.

“We can control how we are going to be now; starting tomorrow, we can prepare to give ourselves the best chance to go to Munich with big belief and win the game to go into the semi-finals,” Arteta continued.
