This fan is expressing what a great deal of others have been considering for a while.

I want to be clear that I like Jerry Jones first and foremost. Have always been. Yes, he has irritated me more than once—beginning, of course, with his dismissal of the great Tom Landry on the golf course.

We can all agree, nevertheless, that he is an excellent businessman. Over the years, he has performed many admirable things for the Cowboys.

And I’d love to hang out with him sometime since I adore a hard drink. Even though we would most likely end up at a strip club in Oklahoma at one in the morning, I hope my wife would be able to forgive me.

But like many others, I’ve had serious doubts about a lot of that organization’s decision-making, and it all starts with him. It has been especially frustrating this offseason.

Having said that, I disagree with the fan who told him to sell the franchise last night at The Star in Frisco during Round 1 of the draft by holding up a sign.

Although I’m not a specialist in football, I’ve heard from the professionals repeatedly that Stephen Jones and Will McClay would be excellent together in managing that company.

Perhaps that would take care of the issue. However, I wouldn’t hold my breath and hope for it to occur.
