Trevor Lawrence gains a speedster in Thomas who can spread the field and divert attention from his teammates. After the first round ended, general manager Trent Baalke explained why he selected the native of Louisiana in the draft.

Thomas needs to focus on getting along with Lawrence throughout training camp. In his first season, he won’t likely get a lot of playing time, but as the season goes on, that relationship might help him get more targets.
