The 49ers’ top two picks in the 2024 NFL Draft, wide receiver Ricky Pearsall and cornerback Renardo Green, attended competing universities, and they will now spend a lot of time together during the offseason program and regular season training.

During Pearsall’s Thursday “Morning Roast” interview on 95.7 The Game, a question concerning Green and their previous meetings during Florida vs. Florida State games was posed.

Pearsall informed Joe Shasky and Bonta Hill, the hosts, “He’s a very talented player.” To be honest, I don’t think we faced up against one another too often. He is, nonetheless, a tremendously gifted player. He has a lot of physicality. That seems like a great pickup for us. He will, in my opinion, gain from the defense. He will contribute that physicality. He’s going to carry that defensive mindset from the 49ers with him.”

The 49ers strengthened their defensive secondary by selecting Green with the 64th overall pick on Day 2 of the draft, after adding Pearsall to their group of wide receivers with the No. 31 overall selection.

When 49ers draft selections and undrafted signees arrive to Santa Clara for rookie minicamp on Thursday, May 9, with the first practice scheduled for Friday, May 10, Pearsall and Green will have a chance to get to know one another better.
