On opening night of the 2024 NFL Draft, a video of a Detroit Lions fan laughing in the face of a Green Bay Packers fan went viral.

After Arizona offensive lineman Jordan Morgan was taken by the club in the first round, the Lions fan made fun of the Packers fan for appearing surprised.

Lions safety Kerby Joseph was disappointed when the Packers selected Jordan Morgan in the draft, but he was enjoying the scenario so much that he asked to find out who the fan was insulting a division opponent.

Kizito Katende, a Canton resident, was able to be located by WXYZ-TV in order to learn more about the amusing exchange that rapidly went viral online.

The Packers fan in the iconic video, Jacob Sanchez, and Katende had been friends for a long time. The pictures of Detroit’s starting safety delivering cleats from a memorable game against the Packers were recently posted online by Sanchez.

A personal note was added by Detroit’s third-year safety.

“Hey, what up! I laughed at you draft night. LOL,” Joseph wrote in a message.Here are my cleats, then. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers caught both of my career’s interceptions. With much love.

Cleats that Joseph used to pick off Aaron Rodgers twice during Detroit’s 15-9 victory over the Packers in 2022 are now owned by Katende.

Joseph’s jovial demeanor and his online contacts with supporters have made him one of the most well-liked players on the Lions team.

Sanchez said that Joseph’s amiable disposition makes it difficult to harbor animosity toward him. “Even though I’m supposed to hate him as a Packers fan, idk how I can after this.”
