Jarvis Landry, a former wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns, wants to return to the NFL.

From May 10–11, Landry will get the chance to participate in the rookie minicamp hosted by the Jaguars.

Five-time Pro Bowler Jarvis Landry is well-known in Cleveland for having played a significant role in transforming the Browns’ culture.

While in Cleveland from 2018 to 2021, Landry caught 288 catches for 3,560 yards and 15 touchdowns. In his first four seasons in the NFL, Landry was a standout player for the Miami Dolphins, where he gained 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons before signing with the Browns.

Since his time as an LSU student, Landry had been regarded as a reliable route runner with outstanding hands. His lack of extraordinary athleticism and straight-line speed was apparent. Landry demonstrated that one of the most important factors in being successful in the league as a route runner is intelligence.

Sadly, Landry’s trajectory was significantly changed in 2022 when he joined the New Orleans Saints, following eight strong seasons in the NFL.

He only got 39 targets in nine games, but he caught 25 of them for 272 yards and one score. The veteran finds himself searching for a spot to play in 2023 in addition to witnessing his prospects diminish.

Last year, while watching games at home, Landry expressed his emotions on social media. The former standout wide receiver thinks he still has a lot more in him and is superior to many of the players on teams around the NFL.

Now, The 33rd Team’s Ari Meirov claims he has a chance to demonstrate that.Landry will face the rookies over the two days of the Jacksonville Jaguars rookie minicamp, which takes place from May 10–11.

Should his trial go well, he might be able to sign a contract with the Jaguars. The Jaguars’ wide receiver room likely contains enough talented receivers, which is terrible news for Landry.

In addition to signing Gabe Davis and drafting Brian Thomas Jr., the team also has Parker Washington and Christian Kirk listed in the slot on the depth chart. In his own right, Landry is a true slot receiver.

If the Jaguars opt against signing him, knowledge of his performance may even lead to a better fit being approached.
