Jalen Guyton, a former wideeceiver for the Los Angeles Chargers, has signed with the Las Vegas Raiders.

The wide receiver space for the Las Vegas Raiders is much deeper. Jalen Guyton, a wide receiver, was signed by the team, as they revealed on Monday.

Guyton has been a member of the Los Angeles Chargers for his entire professional career, giving him five years of NFL experience. During the previous season, the veteran wide receiver started three games for the Bolts, totaling 89 yards and a touchdown on ten receptions.

Due to a leg injury, he was placed on the PUP list and missed the first eight games of the Chargers season.

Guyton’s 2023 campaign came after an ACL tear that kept him out of action for the most of the 2022 season. He only participated in three games. Prior to that, in 16 games during the 2021 season, Guyton had two starts and finished with a career-high 31 receptions for 448 yards and three touchdowns.

In Week 13, he had a fantastic performance against the Cincinnati Bengals, who ended up finishing second in the Super Bowl. On just four receptions, he scored 90 yards and a touchdown.

That came after Guyton had his best-ever 2020 season—his second in the league. On 28 receptions, he gained 511 yards and three touchdowns, starting nine of his 16 games. The Chargers defeated the Raiders in Week 15, and he recorded a career-high 91 receiving yards.

In 2019, Guyton was signed by the Chargers as an undrafted free agent. In his debut season, he played in only three games and saw only eighteen offensive snaps. For the Raiders, who currently have their top three receivers established, this pickup is a nice depth piece.

Guyton’s injury history is a clear cause for concern, since he just finished two seasons in which he missed a lot of time due to a series of ailments. Guyton, 26, is still a young player, though, and if he can maintain his fitness, he can provide the Silver and Black with a reliable reserve.

Guyton, a native of Allen, Texas, was a player for Trinity Valley Community College, North Texas, and Notre Dame. During his two seasons as a player, he caught 103 passes for 1,580 yards and 15 touchdowns in 26 games at North Texas.
