After rookie minicamp ended, the¹1¹¹¹ Detroit Lions ¹ their wide receiver group.

Wide rece¹11¹¹¹iver Kaden Davis, who participated in rookie minicamp with the team this week, has signed a contract with the Lions.

He is the first player from the team’s tryout group to be added this week, according to reports. Prior until this, Davis was a member of the Arizona Cardinals practice squad.

He hauled in eight receptions for eight touchdowns in the preseason. He played in one game for the Cardinals in the previous season.

At the end of the 2023 season, he inked a futures contract with the Cardinals, however on April 30, he was waived. Davis had been a part of the Michigan Panthers in Michigan before then.

In his five games with the Panthers in 2023, he made an impact on the offensive and return game.

During his time as a collegiate player at Division II Northwest Missouri State, Davis finished his senior year with 703 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. His squad advanced to the Division II semifinals that year.

As an undrafted free agent, he signed with the Denver Broncos to start his career. Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams, who is anticipated to play a significant part in his third NFL season, head the Lions’ wide receiving group.

Josh Reynolds, who made a significant contribution the previous season, was lost. One possible replacement is anticipated to be Donovan Peoples- jones.

Detroit decided not to select a player in the Draft this season, thus instead they signed two undrafted free agents. The group decided to UDFA agreements with Isaiah Williams of Illinois and Jalon Calhoun of Duke.
