Fox’s 2024 upfront presentation on Monday featured a lot of Tom Brady. At last, the network’s top in-game NFL analyst was replaced by the seven-time Super Bowl champion.

Despite the fact that Brady’s visit was essentially routine, he did manage to take a jab at Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.

After introducing Brady to the squad, Michael Strahan said that Fox would host a Cowboys game to start the season for the first time in five years.

Brady would call Dallas’ game against the Cleveland Browns in Week 1. Brady began to ramble on about the Cowboys after the announcement, saying the team has some amazing narratives to follow.

His initial thought was, “Let’s see if Dak Prescott can pull through at last.” As the assembled audience started giggling, Brady questioned, “Did that just slip out?”

Despite Prescott’s 2023 Pro Bowl performance, the Cowboys were eliminated from the NFL playoffs in the first round after falling to Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers 48-32. With Prescott at the controls, Dallas is currently 2-5 in the postseason and has never advanced past the Divisional round.

Prescott topped all regular NFL starters in 2023 in throwing touchdowns (36) and completion percentage (69.5%). He also ranked third in passing yards (4,516), second in QBR (72.7), and second in passer rating (105.7).

It was an outstanding season, but Brady and others will continue to call attention to it until he has postseason success.
