The Packers want to demonstrate to the league that they are a serious contender for the Super Bowl. The Jaguars intend to follow suit. To get there, the Jaguars will now try to use a former Packer.

Undrafted free agent wide receiver Wayne Ruby has been dismissed or injured by the Jacksonville Jaguars, and linebacker Ty Summers has reportedly reached an agreement with the team. On Wednesday, the group formally announced the previous change.

After working out with the Jaguars on Wednesday, Summers will sign a contract with the team, according to a report from Chris Tomasson of the Denver Gazette. Last weekend at the Broncos rookie minicamp,

Summers participated in a tryout. Soon after the NFL Draft ended last month, the Jaguars signed Ruby and twelve other undrafted players. In her five years with the team, Ruby grabbed 74 touchdowns at Mount Union, including an incredible 30 touchdowns in 2022.

He has caught 362 passes for 5,624 yards and 74 touchdowns overall.

During his tenure there, he averaged 100.4 receiving yards per game and 15.5 yards per reception.

After being chosen in the seventh round of the 2019 draft, Summers played his first three seasons for the Packers. He played for both the Jaguars and the Saints in 2022 before finishing the previous season in New Orleans.

Summers has recorded 60 tackles, one pass defense, and one fumble recovery in 67 regular-season games. He also had four tackles in four postseason games.
