The quarterback position for the Las Vegas Raiders is a huge question heading into the NFL offseason. Although Aidan O’Connell was far from reliable, he did display some promising beginning skill.

This gave many supporters hope that they will target a well-known player in the 2024 NFL Draft, free agency, or trade market.

After all was said and done, the Raiders’ only move in the quarterback position was to sign Gardner Minshew in free agency to challenge O’Connell.

Above all, this was the franchise demonstrating its faith in O’Connell.

Antonio Pierce has expressed his belief in the young quarterback in no uncertain terms. It’s obvious that the Raiders front office shares this belief.

Having said that, there is some talk that the Raiders of Las Vegas might yet make a big trade for a quarterback before the 2024 NFL season begins. Massive Quarterback Trade Still Possible for the Las Vegas Raiders

Recently, Bleacher Report’s Gary Davenport proposed eight deals that might occur after the NFL Draft. Among them was the Raiders’ successful acquisition of a new quarterback.

The backup quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers is none other than Justin Fields. The proposed exchange that Davenport believes could benefit both parties is as follows:

The 2025 sixth-round pick Justin Fields is acquired by the Las Vegas Raiders. 2025 Third-Round and 2025 Sixth-Round Picks Go to Pittsburgh Steelers From the outside looking in, both teams would find this to be a highly interesting transaction.

The Steelers would be accumulating draft capital that would enable them to make speedy adjustments.

Fields was originally acquired by them for just a 2025 sixth-round pick, which has the potential to be a fifth-round selection.

If they don’t anticipate Fields starting, it would be a nice move to be able to add a third-round pick. Fields would provide the Las Vegas Raiders with a reliable starting quarterback right away.

Fields would replace O’Connell and Minshew as the starting pitcher right away. And if he can improve, he would also give the squad a long-term alternative.

Fields and Pierce would be a fantastic combination as well. He needs a coach who can nurture young talent and has faith in him.

Pierce has demonstrated his ability to do it already. Even if this exchange looks improbable, it’s worth considering.

If it came up, the Las Vegas Raiders would probably be interested in it. But it is extremely likely that Fields will remain the backup for the Steelers.
