Zach Wilson calls trade “bittersweet,” but Broncos QB grateful for fresh start

In New York, Zach Wilson failed to live up to the hype. Denver is a place without expectations.

Wilson is competing for the starting quarterback position with the Broncos, but outside of the locker room, nobody really gives him much notice because Jarrett Stidham and first-round pick Bo Nix are also in the running. It doesn’t seem like the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 draft has lost faith in himself.

As stated by Parker Gabriel of the Denver Post, “I think you learn the most when things don’t always go the best,” Wilson stated. You bank those reps, then. After three years of difficult circumstances, you get a lot of knowledge from them. “Hopefully, I can bring those along.

” Following Wilson’s 12-21 performance in 33 starts with 23 touchdowns and 25 interceptions as a quarterback for BYU, the Jets traded Wilson and a seventh-round pick to the Broncos for a sixth-round pick.

Of course, everything has its bittersweet moments,” Wilson remarked of the move.

“I felt appreciative to the people and my experiences there. I too miss everything and the folks out there. On the other hand, a new beginning is advantageous.

I’m eager to take on a fresh challenge. Wilson is given a new beginning. It is unclear if he will be given the starting position.
