Due to evident vulnerabilities on the roster from the previous season, the Lions used the NFL Draft and free agency to their advantage.

Carlton Davis, Terrion Arnold, DJ Reader, and Marcus Davenport are a few of the prominent new members of Aaron Glenn’s group.

The Lions may still try to bolster their defense as training camp approaches. The Lions may still add one of these seven defensive players on their roster this summer.

DL Calais Campbell

Before Campbell signed with the Atlanta Falcons last season, the Lions were interested in signing him. Now that the veteran is back on the market, the Lions might be interested in signing him.

Because he can play on the outside and set the edge or help smother the run on the inside, Campbell provides versatility on the defensive line. As this would be Campbell’s 17th season, he might not be at his best. But he might also be a helpful tutor for young players like Mekhi Wingo and Brodric Martin.

The veteran has a solid reputation as a former captain and is well-liked throughout the league. He might be valuable to Detroit both on and off the field if he still has any production left in him.
