Among the superstars the Dallas Cowboys have waiting to sign potentially record-breaking contracts is Michah Parsons. Originally regarded as an inside or outside linebacker, Parsons developed into one of the NFL’s most vicious pass rushers.

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Parsons eventually hopes to overtake Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson as the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. But there’s always a chance Parsons finds the bag somewhere else.

Michah Parsons is one of the elite players the Dallas Cowboys are holding out for record-breaking deals. Parsons, who was formerly thought of either an inside or outside linebacker, became one of the most lethal pass rushers in the NFL.

In the long run, Parsons wants to surpass Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson to become the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Parsons might, however, still discover the bag elsewhere.

It’s unlikely to happen, but it would be interesting to watch Parsons rush the passer in opposition against T.J. Watt.

Parsons led the NFL in pressures (103), and among edge defenders, he had the highest pass-rush win percentage (35%).

With 13 sacks in his rookie season, 13.5 sacks in 2022, and a career-high 14 quarterback takedowns this past season, he has improved with each passing season.

Over the course of their first three seasons in the NFL, only three players have accumulated more sacks than Parsons’ 40.5.

Parsons is anticipated to beat Nick Bosa of the San Francisco 49ers, who inked a five-year, $170 million extension last September that includes $122.5 million guaranteed.

It is unclear if Parsons will surpass Jefferson’s four-year, $140 million agreement. Bosa has the highest AAV of any pass rusher at $34 million.
