Following the failure of the Jimmy Garoppolo experiment, the Las Vegas Raiders decided to add another seasoned quarterback to start at quarterback in the NFL offseason.

Even though the rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell filled in for Garoppolo last season, he lacked some experience, which probably encouraged the organization to add another seasoned quarterback.

The Raiders brought in veteran signal-caller Gardner Minshew, formerly of the Indianapolis Colts, in response to their need for another quarterback. This could prove to be a wise decision for Las Vegas.

Minshew not only adds value to the quarterback room in Las Vegas but also offers a unique personality to the Raiders that is beginning to win over even the most ardent supporters of the historic team.

During a recent photo shoot wearing his Raiders uniform, Minshew’s personality was evident in some priceless pictures provided by NFL Deutschland, resulting in a humorous situation.

Despite never really taking off while playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars or Indianapolis Colts, Minshew is coming off what is perhaps his greatest season in the NFL, having been selected to the Pro Bowl in Indianapolis last year.

The true question going ahead is whether he can defeat O’Connell in training camp the following month to start the first game in Las Vegas for Week 1, given that the coaching staff and his teammate have praised the second-year player highly.
