A bull-riding mishap over the weekend claimed the life of a 19-year-old son for an Elk Ridge family, which is now in grief.

They told KSL that they were motivated to live life to the fullest by him, and they are spreading more about him.

The Andersons received a call on a Saturday night informing them that their son Tait was traveling by medical helicopter to Utah Valley Hospital.

It is said that he rode bulls for a living and that, if he could speak now, he would advise others to “live your dream.” Roy Anderson remarked,

“He kept us on our toes; there was never a dull moment.” Additionally, the Andersons stated that Tait developed a passion for riding bulls at the age of three.

Roy Anderson remarked, “He was bull riding; he would ride the back of the couch, anything that he could think of.” On Saturday night, Tait was organizing his upcoming rodeo when his enthusiasm turned lethal.

About six o’clock at night, Anderson received a call from one of Tait’s coworkers.

A dire situation

Anderson remarked, “They told us to get there as soon as possible because the bull had stepped on his sternum.” The Andersons were aware of how serious things were.

A plane took their son to Utah Valley Hospital. Andersons remarked, “I believe we were only there for forty minutes before we learned he didn’t make it.”

Megan Anderson is holding his cross now while she speaks about him. His passion was riding bulls. Bull riding was his language; he lived, breathed, and loved it, according to the couple.

He will be missed by the Andersons for his contagious excitement, his love of rodeo, and his zest for life.

The pair remarked, “That kid could have been a kid for life; he just loved to play and to make people happy.” A GoFundMe* has been established to assist the family with living costs.
