Three-star linebacker Bryce Breeden from Bridge City High School in Texas received an offer from Michigan football head coach Kyle Whittingham and linebackers coach Alex Whittingham on this past Sunday.
Breeden is now eager to come to Ann Arbor this spring and again in June for an official visit, according to a report from Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman, now that he has the offer in hand and is beginning to develop a connection with the Michigan team.
According to Rivals Industry Rankings, the 60th-ranked linebacker in the 2027 class has drawn a lot of interest from colleges, notably TCU, Houston, and Baylor in his native Texas.
The Rivals report lists Arizona State, Northwestern, Purdue, and other schools—along with the Wolverines—as national candidates who are in pursuit.
Michigan’s campaign to win over Breeden
The Rivals article states that Breeden has family ties to the Mitten State because of his relatives who live in Michigan. is enthusiastic about the possibility that Ann Arbor might be a good fit for him.
Breeden informed Rivals that Coach Alex Whittingham, the new head coach, told me that he would bring stability and progress to the program. “With my father in Michigan, this deal is fantastic, and I’m thrilled! This is a huge help for my recruiting!
Breeden stated that he has always admired the Michigan football program and the manner in which the Wolverines play defense.
Breeden informed Rivals that Michigan has always been a strong football squad. “I would fit in well with the style of defense they operate, which is a big run stop defense. ” The reason this deal is significant is that I have always admired Michigan football. Playing for the Wolverines would bring me closer to my father.
