Mike-Vrabel

Mike Vrabel, the New England Patriots’ coach, has never been one to avoid uncomfortable situations with reporters during press conferences.

During his stint as head coach of the Tennessee Titans, he generated several such incidents.

However, it appears that Vrabel, who is married to wife Jen Vrabel, does not want to speak with the media and engage in what would undoubtedly be another uncomfortable moment in answering questions about his current affair scandal involving The Athletic NFL insider Dianna Russini, who is married to husband Kevin Goldschmidt.

Vrabel dodges the press amid the Russini controversy.

ESPN’s Mike Reiss stated on Sunday that Vrabel would not engage with journalists during the team’s pre-draft press conference on Monday, something that head coaches usually do.

“[Executive vice president of player personnel Eliot] Wolf will host the team’s pre-draft news conference Monday (2 p. m. ET), which will be the first official media event at the team’s new facility — the New Balance Athletic Center,” Reiss said.

“Vrabel—who has been in the headlines this week, as the Athletic is re-examining the coverage of NFL reporter Dianna Russini and the nature of her relationship with him, according to people familiar with the situation told ESPN—is not expected to address reporters until the draft. “

Fans condemn Vrabel for his cowardly conduct.

One of Vrabel’s most well-known statements is, “Don’t do stupid shit to harm the team. “

His coaching philosophy is based on that principle. However, Vrabel finds himself breaking his own counsel after being recently caught cosying up to Russini at an adults-only hotel in Arizona.

After hearing that Vrabel would not be speaking with journalists, fans swamped social media on Sunday, slamming him for failing to accept responsibility and confront the truth about his alleged affair.

“Scared to answer questions about something that didn’t happen, huh? ” one commenter said.

“Preaches accountability until it applies to himself. “Joke of a thing for a head coach to do,” one person responded.

“So she’s getting all the heat and he can disappear 🤦🏼‍♀️,” a third remarked.

“It’s kind of a [expletive] move to not face the music while your affair partner is having her career destroyed,” one user said.

“Mr. Accountability does not want to discuss his mistakes,” one user said.

“Vrabel is going to have to confront this sooner or later. “Kind of cowardly for a highly compensated head coach to skip draft-related events,” one fan commented.

“Lol, Mr. Family Values is avoiding the media now. “What a little [expletive],” remarked another fan.
