Before to the third game between the Phoenix Suns and the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, many people have questioned the officiating in the series. Suns players Devin Booker and Dillon Brooks have been complaining about the officials and their judgments, so owner Mat Ishbia has joined the discussion.

Booker’s public complaint about refereeing in the playoff series against the Thunder, notably following the 120-107 defeat on Wednesday night, has prompted Brooks to reiterate his concerns about the referees. Ishbia went to X, formerly Twitter, and shared a video of Booker’s tirade, standing by the star guard.

“I support Devin Booker 100% in this case. Last night was not a favorable picture for our league. Let me be clear: we did not lose due to refereeing, but that does not diminish the significance of last night. If referees want respect from players, as they should, then players should demand respect from referees, according to Ishiba on X, formerly Twitter.

“When a referee misses calls and plainly disrespects the players, almost mocking them, they must be held accountable,” Ishiba said. “Nobody who enjoys this game liked watching that last night. They want the players to compete at the greatest level. The league must be considerably more proactive about these issues. Everyone player and fan deserves it. ”

Suns guard Devin Booker criticizes officiating by name.

Throughout the game, Booker disputed the officials’ judgments in general, as well as a technical foul given to him late in the third quarter.

“In my 11 years, I’ve never called a ref out by name, but James [Williams] was horrible tonight, from beginning to end. It is harmful to the sport’s reputation and integrity. Booker stated that if this is not addressed, people will begin to see it as the WWE.

At any rate, it remains to be seen if Booker or the rest of the Suns will have any difficulties when they face the Thunder again on Saturday.
