Aaliyah Moore (pronounced uh-LEE-uh), an all-conference-caliber player at Texas, became the 10th transfer to sign an Institutional Financial Aid Agreement (IFAA) with Tennessee, Lady Vol head coach Kim Caldwell confirmed on Tuesday.

Moore, a 6-foot-1 forward from Moore, Oklahoma, played her whole college career with the Longhorns, averaging 8. 9 points and 4. 7 rebounds in 56 of 89 games since joining Austin in 2021. She missed the 2025-26 season due to injuries and has one year of eligibility left.

Moore joins previously announced transfer portal signees in 5-6 guard Shaelyn Steele (Penn State), 5-7 guard Jada Eads (Seton Hall), 5-9 guards Avery Mills (Liberty), Naomi White (Northern Arizona), and Rylie Theuerkauf (Georgia); 6-0 guard Kaylene Smikle (Maryland); 6-2 forwards Zhen Craft (Georgia) and Fatmata Fats Janneh (Texas A&M); and 6-3 forward Harper Peterson (Stanford) as Tennessee’s 2026 transfer portal class.

UT also has two incoming freshmen, including 6-1 guard/forward Gabby Minus (Dacula, Ga. /Hebron Christian Academy), the No. 64-ranked player in the 2026 SportsCenter NEXT 100 class, and 5-10 guard Irene Oboavwoduo (Manchester, England/Trinity Church of England H. S. ), who has extensive international experience with several Great Britain national teams.

Moore started all 19 games for the Longhorns in 2024-25 before being sidelined by injury. She averaged 7. 9 points, 4. 6 rebounds, and 1. 0 steals while shooting 47 percent from the floor and 71 percent from the free-throw line. She scored in double digits four times, including a season-high 20 points against West Virginia and a 17-point, 14-rebound double-double against Arkansas.

In 33 games throughout the 2023-24 season, Moore made 19 starts and received All-Big 12 Second Team, Big 12 All-Tournament, and NCAA Portland 4 Regional All-Tournament recognition. She recorded career bests of 11. 3 points and 6. 1 rebounds per game while shooting 53 percent from the field. She scored in double digits 21 times, including four double-doubles, matching her career high of 21 points against Alabama in the NCAA Second Round while also grabbing 10 rebounds. She averaged 14. 3 points and 8. 3 rebounds in a four-game playoff stretch for Texas.

She had a strong start to the first nine games of 2022-23 before an accident forced her season to an end. She was averaging 11. 2 points and 4. 8 rebounds, with seven double-digit scoring performances, including a season-high 21 points against Louisville in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament. She had just completed a successful summer with USA Basketball in 3×3 competition, assisting the American team to victory in the U23 FIBA Americas Nation League Championship.

In 2021-22, Moore played in 28 games for the Longhorns, earning nine starts after missing eight due to injury. She averaged 6. 0 points and 3. 1 rebounds per game and had a team-high field goal percentage of 51%. In her first NCAA Tournament appearance, she shone brightly, scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in a double-double performance against Fairfield before scoring a season-high 21 points in the second round against Utah.

During her high school years, Moore was a two-time Gatorade Player of the Year in Oklahoma, rated No. 6 on the SportsCenter NEXT 100, and named a McDonald’s All-American. She ended her high school career with 1,803 points and 882 rebounds, placing first in school history in both categories. She also had 71 career double-doubles at MHS.

In the 2026 portal recruiting rankings, Smikle is rated No. 8 by The Athletic, No. 13 by HoopsHQ, and No. 14 by espnW, while Janneh is ranked No. 16 by HoopsHQ.
