According to an NBA insider, one possible target may be a good fit for the Indiana Pacers.
The Indiana Pacers are going to be a squad to watch closely as we approach the 2026 NBA offseason.
After making a run to Game 7 of the NBA Finals last season, the Pacers went 19-63 this season. They regrettably lost their first-round selection to the Los Angeles Clippers, but they remain eager to be aggressive.
Kevin Pritchard and his colleagues are desperate to bring a title to Indiana. The team in position will have the opportunity to compete for one, but an addition or two may be necessary.
With this in mind, several potential targets have been highlighted for the Pacers.
According to NBA insider Sam Amico, Chicago Bulls guard Isaac Okoro would be a good fit for Indiana. If the Bulls are open to the notion of trading, Amico explained why he would be a good target for the Pacers.
The Pacers already know they can score when healthy. According to Amico, bringing Tyrese Haliburton back next season transforms everything offensively after he missed this year owing to an Achilles injury.
With the addition of Pascal Siakam and new recruit Ivica Zubac, Indiana’s foundation looks considerably more solid. The Pacers need perimeter toughness and defensive pressure. That’s where Okoro comes in.
Okoro spent his first five years in the NBA with the Cleveland Cavaliers, who selected him fifth overall in the 2020 NBA Draft. Last season, he played an important role in Chicago.
Okoro appeared in 63 games in the 2025-26 season, with 62 starts. He averaged 9. 3 points, 2. 7 rebounds, and 1. 6 assists per game, with a 46% field goal percentage and a 33% three-point percentage.
Indiana is recognized for its tough defense. Okoro would fit into that system.
Whether the Pacers are really interested in the 25-year-old winger remains to be seen. He could make sense in Indiana if the price was reasonable.
As the offseason approaches, expect to hear a lot of rumors and conjecture regarding the Pacers. Okoro is a name worth keeping an eye on.
