Ipswich Town have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Fulham centre-back Issa Diop in a deal worth around £8.5 million, with the experienced defender expected to become the Tractor Boys’ second signing of the summer transfer window.

The newly promoted Premier League side have been active in the market as they prepare for the 2026/27 campaign, and Diop’s arrival would provide a significant boost to Gary O’Neil’s defensive options.

According to reports from Foot Mercato, which have since been backed by sources close to Ipswich Town, the 29-year-old is scheduled to undergo a medical before completing a four-year contract at Portman Road.

The move comes shortly after Gary O’Neil took charge following Kieran McKenna’s departure, with the new head coach reportedly approving the transfer as Ipswich continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
