The Tennessee Volunteers have been working on putting together their roster for the upcoming college basketball season, and they have just secured what may be the most significant commitment of the entire cycle. Juke Harris has confirmed his commitment to the Volunteers.
According to ON3, Harris is a four-star transfer possibility, ranking fourth in this year’s class and the second-best shooting guard. The Volunteers were able to lure Harris over the likes of North Carolina and Michigan.
Harris was a four-star recruit coming out of high school and chose Wake Forest. He played the previous two seasons with the Demon Deacons and has been outstanding since his rookie year.
Juke Harris commits to the Tennessee Volunteers.
Harris averaged six points and 2. 8 rebounds as a substitute in 2024. This past season, he made a tremendous step.
Harris averaged 21 points, 1. 3 steals, 1. 9 assists, and 6. 5 rebounds per game as a sophomore. He also shot 33% from outside the arc and 44% from the floor. Harris is a high-volume shooter who can regularly score, making him a great addition to Tennessee’s attack.
Harris had 30 or more points twice and 20 or more points 20 times last season. He set a career-high with 38 points, including six 3-pointers, against Boston College.
The Volunteers have seven players committed in this year’s transfer portal class. Tyler Lundblade of Belmont, Jalan Haralson of Notre Dame, Terrence Hill Jr. of VCU, Dai Dai Ames of Cal, Miles Rubin of Loyola, and Braedan Lue of Kennesaw State have all made promises to the team. Six players from last year’s squad have already entered the transfer portal for the Volunteers.
The volunteers are hoping to reach the program’s first-ever final four. The Volunteers have had numerous opportunities under head coach Rick Barnes, reaching the Elite Eight three years in a row. They have also reached the competition for eight consecutive seasons, with the exception of the 2020 season, when the event was called off due to the worldwide epidemic.
Under Barnes, Tennessee has consistently ranked among the finest teams in the country, and it appears that this trend will continue next season, notably with the addition of Harris to the squad.
The Volunteers will also add four players from the 2026 recruiting class.
