Viktor-Arvidsson-and-Nikita-Zadorov-in-action-for-Bruins

The Boston Bruins have to be wondering when they will get a break in their series against the Buffalo Sabres, as a 3-1 deficit appears much worse when some key players are injured. Game 4 at home was one of Boston’s most humiliating defeats in recent memory, and the club will now have to dig deep and win three consecutive games to proceed. According to Steve Conroy on X, formerly known as Twitter, a significant portion of Game 5 on Tuesday will be injury updates on Viktor Arvidsson and Nikita Zadorov.

“Sturm stated that both Arvidsson and Zadorov are uncertain for tomorrow,” Conroy said. “He also told us not to worry about line combinations today. He still has choices to make. ”

Zadorov has been struggling with an ailment that he sustained early in Game 3. He left the game to go to the locker room for part of the first quarter, but then returned. The slow-footed defender seemed considerably slower than usual, indicating that he was dealing with something.

The Bruins did not provide Zadorov an official role for Game 4, but there were rumors that the club had someone who would be a game-time decision. With seven defensemen on the ice for warmups, it was assumed that the player was Zadorov.

Arvidsson has been a surprise for the Bruins this season, having been traded to Boston by the Edmonton Oilers during the offseason. His play was a major factor in the team’s push to the playoffs, and the absence of him and Zadorov for Game 5 would significantly improve the team’s chances of making a comeback.
