Hours before the Dallas Cowboys kick off their season against the Cleveland Browns, Dak Prescott and the franchise have reached a deadline agreement.
The seasoned quarterback became the highest-paid athlete in NFL history when he signed a $240 million four-year contract extension to remain in Dallas.
According to Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, Prescott would receive $231 million from the agreement. Owner Jerry Jones, his agent Tom France, and the Athletes First staff verified the contract.
