Rico Dowdle started over Ezekiel Elliott against the Saints, showing he might be the superior back. In a surprising twist, Elliott fell to third in the RB hierarchy, as Deuce Vaughn even got a carry before Elliott entered the game late in the first quarter.
On a different note, Dobbins has emerged as one of the offseason’s best bargain signings. He rushed for 135 yards on 10 carries in Week 1 and followed that with an impressive 131 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries in the Chargers’ Week 2 victory.
