Miaami Dolphins Acquire Dallas Cowboys Quarterback in Intriguing Trade Proposal
The Miami Dolphins have had a rough start to the 2024 season, posting a 2-3 record in their first five games. Their star quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, suffered another severe concussion earlier this year, raising concerns about his future in the league.
Facing these challenges, the Dolphins could look to reignite their season before the trade deadline, and one available quarterback might be the solution they need.
Miami Dolphins Could Target Dallas Quarterback
CBS Sports suggests that the Dolphins could acquire Dallas Cowboys quarterback Trey Lance before the trade deadline.
With Tagovailoa’s return uncertain, bringing in Lance could be a move with long-term potential for Miami, particularly since head coach Mike McDaniel was with the San Francisco 49ers when they originally drafted Lance.
Trey Lance’s NFL Journey
Lance has struggled in the NFL since being drafted and has yet to prove himself as a reliable starter. However, due to his familiarity with McDaniel, there’s a chance the young quarterback could develop into the player the 49ers hoped for.
McDaniel has a knack for getting the best out of his players by leveraging their strengths, which could also benefit Lance.
The young quarterback has accumulated 797 passing yards and five touchdowns in his brief career. He showed promise during this year’s preseason with the Cowboys but faltered as it progressed.
Lance was considered a top prospect in his draft class but has underperformed so far. Nonetheless, the Dolphins, with McDaniel’s system, could be the key to unlocking his potential.
