Baseball legend Darryl Strawberry’s desire to see a football game at Tigers Stadium was addressed on X by LSU coach Lane Kiffin.

Since his headline-grabbing transfer from Oxford to take the Tigers’ job in Baton Rouge in November of last year, new LSU coach Lane Kiffin has increased hopes in the city. Right before the Rebels’ historic College Football Playoff march, Kiffin left Ole Miss under a cloud.

Baseball Legend’s Wish Fulfilled by Lane Kiffin

Baseball great Darryl Strawberry reiterated his longtime love for the Tigers and Kiffin during a “WAFB 9” appearance on Wednesday, and he also expressed his desire to see an LSU game at Tiger Stadium.

“I have always watched the LSU football game on ESPN television,” Strawberry stated. “It’s incredible what their fans are and what it is and how live it is there. I’ve never watched a football game at Tiger Stadium. I’ve always wanted to go there, and someday I will.

“He (Kiffin) has a lot on his plate; let him just concentrate on LSU. After all that he had to go through to get there, you know. However, you know that he’s a fantastic coach, and anyone is welcome to express their thoughts. He wanted to teach at LSU; good for him.

Kiffin responded to Strawberry with a nine-word message on X inviting him after the interview went viral.

“This is the year for your first game ever,” Kiffin posted on Twitter.

Having just had a fantastic January transfer portal, the Tigers have been identified as dark horses for both the SEC and national championship game next season, and the charming Kiffin has been actively promoting the Tigers’ pedigree on several social media channels in anticipation of his first spring training in Baton Rouge.

Kiffin’s contentious transfer to LSU is supported by an analyst.

Despite the widespread criticism from both fans and experts, ESPN analyst Paul Finebaum supported Kiffin’s contentious departure from Ole Miss to LSU on Sunday’s episode of the “On Texas Football” show.

“I appreciate the action. ” It could never be good, according to Finebaum. “He took a well thought-out risk, and he nearly lost. I’m going to leave because I bet this team is unlikely to beat Georgia. By chance, they made it past Georgia. He would have never been able to live with himself if he had defeated Miami and competed for a national title.

“He made the right choice. All of that doesn’t matter anymore; it was terrible. I believe he will win a national championship at LSU. The evidence shows that it’s an improvement. He has a terrific team that is capable of making the playoffs and has significant support.

With his loaded Tigers squad set to be one of the most watched programs in the SEC and the nation next year, Kiffin has established himself as the top college football entertainer.
